After graduating from Tsukuba University with a major in mathematics, Ken worked for electronics giants, Toshiba and Fujitsu, for over 20 years. He was primarily involved with the development of computer technology for English–Japanese translation, as well as standardizing computer system performance and supporting system engineers overseas.

Ken established Japaning Corporation to introduce Japanese culture to the world and bring world cultures to Japan. He has a long-held interest in English, which stems from his days as an exchange student in Australia.
